“It is my belief that medical care today is too impersonal, relying on test results rather than an open dialogue with patients. Most health issues are the result of our lifestyles and environment. It is my greatest accomplishment if I can help someone heal themselves.”

Biography

Dr. William Adcox is a board certified family physician with over 25 years of experience in comprehensive family medicine care. Following completion of medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Dr. Adcox went to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah for residency. He was administrative chief resident there representing all of their training programs. He spent three years in Toccoa, Georgia as a part of a multi-specialty group before returning to Savannah to serve as an attending with the residency training program. In 1995, Dr. Adcox moved to Peachtree City, Georgia and shortly thereafter started Family Medicine Specialists PC. As the practice grew and there was a greater challenge to spend time with patients, Dr. Adcox made the decision to limit his personal practice to a concierge panel. With this change, he now is able to spend more time teaching patients how to improve their health rather than simply writing prescriptions for medications. Dr. Adcox has gone for additional training through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine to learn integrative techniques to offer more comprehensive options for care.
